HENRIK NORRTHON
FILMMAKER/DOP

BIO

I have the starting point of doing projects that I'm passionate about and that are close to my heart. Films that make an impression and that make a difference. I have extensive experience with documentaries, television, fiction, advertising and corporate. I have produced feature film which has been shown in cinemas across Scandinavia and have made travel documentaries, award-winning short films and a British documentary about Nelson Mandela for cinema. I studied  TV and journalism in Stockholm and then cinematography at London Filmschool.

The first short film was I love Johan, which won 1 km film at the Stockholm Film Festival. Then we recorded the feature film Fjorton Suger which was distributed all over Scandinavia and went to film festivals such as Berlin, Seattle, Toronto, London and Hollywood.

I began work on a documentary about the industrial gas disaster in Bhopal starring Martin Sheen and Mischa Barton and worked on a feature length documentary about Nelson Mandela. My recent work is for Swedish and Danish TV, but also makes documentaries, television and advertising for production companies and corporate clients in Malmö and Copenhagen and all over Europe.
